Whitby District Lions Club is proud announce we have approved an emergency £1,000 grant to help the work of Lions Clubs International Foundation for the devastating Turkey & Syria earthquake. This money will assist fellow Lion Clubs on the ground who are helping their own communities, to support their short-term assistance for shelter and housing needs, humanitarian assistance and medical needs.
Our own Lions District 105N has donated £27,000 to LCIF, which is an amazing effort! The district consists of many small clubs, like ourselves, from Scotland to northern England. They have been fundraising, holding charity events and donating to raise this fantastic amount. 🚑🏥⛑
