Community Grants Project

The Whitby District Lions Club is proud to announce the launch of our Community Grants Project, a new initiative aimed at supporting local registered charities and voluntary groups. Through this project, we are offering ten grants, each worth up to £500, to help fund projects that will have a positive and lasting impact on the local community. Our focus is on projects that can make a real difference to the people of Whitby and its surrounding areas. The geographical scope of the grants spans the entire Whitby district, covering the villages from Staithes to Robin Hood’s Bay, and all points in between. We encourage local organisations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to receive funding that will enable them to make meaningful contributions to improve the lives of our local community and our areas wellbeing. Grants are available for the following purposes:

  • Provide community based support or projects.
  • Provide support to individuals.
  • Need to replace critical equipment.
  • Support nursery or school projects.
  • Support community sport and well being projects.
  • Any other community groups or initiatives.
