Community Grants Project

The Whitby District Lions Club offers funding through our Community Grants Project to support local registered charities and voluntary groups across the Whitby district — from Staithes to Robin Hood's Bay and surrounding villages.

Grant Details

• Number of grants available: Up to ten
• Amount per grant: Up to £500 each
• Geographic coverage: Entire Whitby district, including Staithes, Robin Hood's Bay and surrounding villages

Eligible Project Types

Grants support organisations working in these areas:

• Community-based support or projects
• Support for individuals
• Critical equipment replacement
• Nursery or school projects
• Community sport and wellness initiatives
• Other community groups or initiatives

Email whitby.lions.club@gmail.com to request an application form. The club is happy to offer assistance with completing applications upon request.

Application deadline: 31st March 2026

• Awarded funds must be returned if no longer needed for their intended purpose
• The club reserves the right to decline applications without explanation
• Applicants must be registered charities or voluntary groups
